| "Canadian artist Ken Danby has established himself as a master of realist painting, with an international stature that regularly brings his dealer requests from New York, London and European capitals." -- Maclean's Magazine |
Note: Ken Danby began painting in oil while in his teens. Later, as an art student in the late 1950s, he experimented with egg tempera, which became his major medium in 1963. In the mid 1980s, he decided to again work in oil as well, when he felt the need to paint on a much larger scale. He has since utilized both mediums, and occasionally acrylic, relative to his preferences for the work at hand.
