The Grand River flows along steep limestone banks just a few miles from my studio, and it always has a little magic to offer through the seasons. I was fascinated with the design created by the brilliant white foam in contrast with the rich earthy tones of greens and umbers in the cedars and water. My intention was to nurture the 'sweep' as an intriguing visual element, without diminishing its context within the natural environment.
